She was predeceased by: her parents, Daisy May and John Nystrand, Sr.; and her siblings, J. Albert Nystrand (Doris), Bob Nystrand (Mamie), Gladys Rosenkrans (Mack) and Harriet Washer (Bob).

She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Kalafut of Staten Island, NY; her brothers, Michael Kalafut (Cheryl) of Franklin, Patrick Kalafut of Franklin and Timothy Kalafut (Yulandia) of Deltona, Florida.; her grandchild Sargent Anthony Zavala; and her great grandchildren, Julia, Addison, Matthew (Marci), Jackson and Adrianna.
