It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophie Bychkowski of South River, New Jersey, who passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Sophie may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Bychkowski; and her parents, Sebastian Kosciuk and Helen Kosciuk. She is survived by: her children, Demetri (Sherry), Helen (Richard Bachrach) and Kathy Marlow; her grandchildren, Victoria, Billy, Julia and Nicholas; and her brother Serg Kosciuk. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maliszewski Funeral Home (218 Whitehead Ave, South River, NJ 08882). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 9:30 AM and at 10:00 AM at the Saint Euphrosynia Belarus Orthodox Church (284 Whitehead Ave, South River, NJ 08882).
