We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2025, at the age of 87, Robert M Chando Sr. of South River, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chando and Cecelia Chando (Ryniec); his son Kenneth; and his brother Ronald. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Chando (Kalman); his children, Deborah (Robert Bodak), Robert Jr. (Stefanie) and Diane (Bill Frenick) of South River; his grandchildren, Robert Bodak Jr. (Erica), Cheryl Anderson (Scott), Jonathan Chando (Dorothy), Jillian Frenick and Jenna Frenick; his great grandchildren, Sadie, Landon, Tessa, Kevin, Savannah and Harrison; and his siblings, John, Charles Chando and Susan Meade. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maliszewski Funeral Home (218 Whitehead Ave, South River, NJ 08882). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of Ostrabrama RC Church (30 Jackson St, South River, NJ 08882).
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Building Fund, 30 Jackson Street, South River or to Reliable Fire Company, P.O. Box 214, South River.
