He was predeceased by: his parents, Joao and Diamantina. He is survived by: his wife Maria; his children, Mario (Regina) and Tania (Francisco); his grandchildren, Rodrigo, Andre, Ricardo, Vanessa and Caroline; and his sibling Anacleto. He is also survived by his 3 great-grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
