Though Manuel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Manuel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his son Lucio Manuel Freire Costa; and his mother Maria of Jesus Costa. He is survived by: his wife Maria Lucia Costa; his children, Julia Maria Freire DaCosta (Jose Mario DaCosta), Vera Silvia Freire Costa, Rosa Alexandra Freire Almeida (Rui Almeida), Cristiano Antonio Freire Costa (Melissa Costa) and Linda Daniela Freire Rodrigues (Mario Rodrigues); and his siblings, Antonio Augusto Costa and Julia Costa. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maliszewski Funeral Home (218 Whitehead Ave, South River, NJ 08882).
