We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Rachele Ann Starr of South Plainfield, New Jersey, born in Plainfield, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Aniello Santonastasso and Philomena Santonastasso. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Starr; her sons, Kenneth Carrier (Cookie) of Freehold and Jeffrey Carrier (Rita) of Springfield; her grandsons, Kenny, Nicky, Joey, Jeffery and Justin; and her sisters, Patricia Mikell of Maryland, Loretta Gati (Pete) of South Plainfield and Veronica Woodruff (John) of Florida. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rachele's memory to the Alzheimer's Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601, http://www.alz.org.

“Rachel and I were best friends in high school. She was always joking,, busting. When she was studying to become a beautician she asked if she could practice stripping my hair. I said sure. Thankfully it was in the back because she left it on so long, my hair broke off! I can’t think of her without smiling. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. My only regret is that we never reconnected as planned. Heaven received another Angel Sincerely Edna Phelps”
