Grace R. Lyons Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2025, at the age of 100, Grace R. Lyons (South Plainfield, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Roehm and Anna Roehm (Kellner); her significant other Robert Lyons (Bob); her sister Margaret Roehm Haldeman; her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Lyons, Anne Lyons Gorman and Frank Lyons; and her daughter-in-law Dorothy Bowen Lyons.
She is survived by: her children, Robert W. Lyons (Bob) of Mexico, Margaret Ponzio (Gene Moquin) and Susan BouChamoun (George) of Stockton. She is also survived by eight loving grandchildren, eleven plus great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gustafson Home For Funerals (2425 Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield, NJ 07080). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Hillside Cemetery (1401 Woodland Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Grace's name may be sent to the New Jersey Firefighters Benevolent Association (http://www.njfmba.org..).
