He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Gehring, Sr. and Mary Gehring (McGlade); his wife Vivienne Gehring (Ratchford); his brother Thomas Gehring; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Gehring and Richard Allen Vaughn.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Lippincott (Todd), Dana Jo Martino (Frank) and Eric Gehring (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Kyle, Kevin, Jeanne and Konnor; and his siblings, Joseph Gehring (Yolanda) and Anna Vaughn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Plainfield EMS or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
