He is survived by: his wife Sallyann Voorhees Schmidt; his brother John Schmidt; his nieces and nephews, Patti Hreha (Mike), Noreen Bandeff, Alex Bandeff (Susan), John Schmidt (Gerri) and Gerard Schmidt; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, AJ Bandeff (Melissa), Blake Bandeff, Christopher Schmidt, Stephen Schmidt and Kayla Schmidt.
