He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesco Derme and Quinta Bartolomei; and his siblings, Cesare, Bruno and Angela.
He is survived by: his wife Giovanna Cesarina; his children, Patricia Gebert (George) and Claudio (Veronica); his brother Giuseppe (Rosi); and his grandchildren, Alexander, Giulia and Daniela.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in his honor to the Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
