He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Blackwell and Mildred Blackwell; his wife Regina Lillian Tisseverasinghe; and his sister Bonita Blackwell. He is survived by: his children, Dimetrius Adrian Blackwell (Adonna), Maurice Blackwell and Ayesha Blackwell-Hawkins (James); his siblings, Dicarlo "Carlo" Blackwell (Marie), Martinez "Marty" Blackwell (June) and Murty "Tina" Jennings; and his grandchildren, Brandon Blackwell (Ariel) and Caila Blackwell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Vietnam Veterans of America.
