He is survived by: his wife Francesca Barone (Emmolo); his children, Lina Colloca (Richard) of Emerson and Tommy Barone (Antonella) of South Hackensack; his grandchildren, Marissa, Veronica, Nicholas and Salvatore; his siblings, Francesco Barone, Guglielmo Barone, Antonino Barone, Giuseppa Barone, Maria Barone, Adelina Barone and Giovanna Barone; and his brother-in-law John Emmolo of New Milford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“I knew Sal since the late 70 s when I lived next to the T Bowl in Wayne, He has been cutting my hair since then. Sal was a beautiful guy and we often spoke of the State Police as I am a retired Trooper Lieutenant. He related that his father was a police officer in Italy. and always spoke fondly of him. Sal; gave me great haircuts over the years and will be missed, Since Im 82 years old myself. his death is felt by me. Condolences to his entire family and my thoughts of him always. Bob Buys”
