He was predeceased by: his parents, William Handy and Mimie Lee Handy; and his siblings, Catherine Blackwell, Geraldine Smith, William Bernard Handy, Virgil Leola Harris and John Edward Handy.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Handy; his children, Kenneth Handy (Shanecka), Erika Lynn Handy (John) and Hunter III; his grandchildren, Tiara Tyese Handy, Eryn Jane-Michelle Handy, Jazmine Leigh Handy, Kyra Chanel Handy, Kenneth Kyle Handy Jr., Sha, Karen Handy, Shy, Nicole Handy and Egypt Jhanae Handy-Hunter; his great grandchildren, Tyler Machi Handy-Smith, Elijah Bryce Handy-Smith and Antonio Israel Montgomery Jr.; his sisters, Joyce Northington, Janet Johnson, Norma Handy and Charlotte Handy; his siblings-in-law, Rodney Mann and Beverly Nicely; his uncle Jack; and also, George and Unc. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
