He is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

“My deepest heartfelt condolences. We are going to miss Eric very much. I enjoyed talking with him about gardening and I was always impressed at how knowledgeable he was about it. He was also a fantastic cook and he would sometimes bring in dishes that he'd made to share with us, his colleagues. He was a kind and generous man and I am glad to have known him. Wishing you all peace and understanding as you grieve during this difficult time.”
