She was predeceased by: her parents, John McFadden and Amelia "Molly" McFadden (Palmieri); and her brother John McFadden. She is survived by: her husband Lee Smith Sr.; her children, Crystal Lavoie of North Brunswick, Dana Lavoie of Matawan, Jennafer Lavoie (Tyson Brown) of South Amboy, Tim Lavoie Jr. (Nena) of Keyport and Lee Smith Jr. of South Amboy; her granddaughter Gianna Lavoie; and her sister-in-law Karen McFadden.
In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Carolyn to the Monmouth County SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
