He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel and Dorothy Halpern; his wife Susan; his daughters, Lauren and Nancy; his sons-in-law, John and Adam; and his grandchildren, Sam, Nicole, Lucy and Jasper.

Donations can be made to the Ben Butler Scholarship fund at the Shimon and Sarah Birnbaum JCC in Bridgewater.
