He was predeceased by: his parents, George Yackanin and Anne Yackanin (Yarina). He is survived by: his wife Karen Yackanin; his children, Michael Yackanin (Grethe) and Christine Yackanin (Todd Donahue); his siblings, Thomas Yackanin and Kathleen Yackanin; his grandchildren, Carina, Evan and Luke; his sister-in-law Kathy Hunt; and his nephews, Rusty Hunt, Tommy Yackanin and Steven Yackanin. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In honor of Robert's enduring love for animals, contributions in his memory can be made to the Franklin Township Animal Shelter at 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873, in lieu of flowers. His legacy of compassion for both people and animals will live on through these heartfelt donations.
