He was predeceased by: his siblings, Antonino Gangitano, Michele Gangitano and Frances Barbiero. He is survived by: his brother Salvatore Gangitano; his brother-in-law Cosimo Barbiero; and his sister Joanne Birlardo of California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
