She was predeceased by: her parents, LaMar Carter, Sr. and Mattie Carter; and her siblings, Evelyn Crenshaw, Kenneth Carter and LaMar Carter, Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Moore of Youngstown, OH; her children, Fredrick D. Stevens (A. Tunni) of Allentown, PA and Carol Statum (late Paul Statum) of Somerset, NJ; her adoptive son Jeffery Harris of Harker Heights, TX; her niece Faye Moore of Youngstown, OH; her daughter Danette Worthen of Somerset, NJ.; and her grandchildren, Douglas Statum (Xandra) of Easton, PA, Corey Statum (Carla) of Somerset, NJ, Kelly Statum of Princeton, NJ, David Stevens of Allentown, PA. and Fredrick Dorian Stevens of Allentown, PA.. She is also survived by seven great- grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and by a host of beloved, extended family members, church members, and friends.
