She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Bell Evans Brooks and Mack Evans; her husband Eddie B. Martin; and her siblings, Jessie Evans Hamilton, Frances Kelly, Eskew Evans, Lonnie Evans, Brooks Ziegler, Joseph Ziegler, Jesse Evans and Lawrence Brooks.

She is survived by: her children, Kenny, Greg, Harvey Martin (Marlene), Bishop and Joan Martin; her grandchildren, Nicole, Chalana, Tiara (Stanley), Marina, Brianna and Joshua; her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Norelle, Arian and Jonah; her siblings, Phyllis Franklin, Julia Purnell, Louvenia "Bebe" Major, Sandra Asanya and Curtis Robinson; and her sisters-in-law, Carol Evans and Shirley Brooks.
