Katelyn Frances Gecik Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katelyn Frances Gecik of Somerset, New Jersey, who passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 30, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Frances, Alvin Tiger, Anna Lee and John Gecik; and her cousin Michael Steven Pohle, Jr..
She is survived by: her parents, Liz Tiger Orlando and Gregory J. Gecik, Sr.; her children, Emma Grace Kroeckel, James Michael Alpaugh and John Bartles Prignano (Jack); her stepparents, Peter Orlando and Patricia Gecik; her brother Gregory J. Gecik, Jr.; her sister-in-law Christine Otto; her sister Megan Gecik; her close friend Kenny Buco; her brothers, Michael Orlando and Peter; her sister-in-law Jennifer Orlando; her godmother Teresa; and her uncle Michael Pohle. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family; and many friends.
Visitation and a life celebration service officiated by Certified Life Celebrant D. J. Wright will take place privately due to the pandemic, under the care and direction of Wright & Ford Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 38 State Highway 31, Flemington, NJ 08822. Please note there will be a public life celebration service in the spring/summer of 2021 when the pandemic restrictions are hopefully lifted.
