He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Kotlarz (Burns); his sons, Michael (Nicole) and Eric (Lauren); his sisters-in-law, Helen Burns, Maureen Burns-Gorman (Dick) and Marie Belli (John); and his grandchildren, Blake, Alex, Sofia, Quinn and Kendall. He is also survived by several nieces, cousins and many friends.
