With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Christopher Murphy of Somerset, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John Christopher departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John Christopher may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John Christopher leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy (Dorothy Murphy) and NJ; and his brothers, Dennis, Timothy, Jr. and Vincent.
He is survived by: his sisters, Kathleen Uhrin (Frank) of Piscataway and Mary Makowski (Edward) of South Plainfield. He is also survived by nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of extended relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gustafson Home For Funerals (2425 Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield, NJ 07080). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church (1571 Martine Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076).
