He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Zimmer, Sr. and Lillian Lunsbury; his stepfather Harold Lunsbury; and his sister Dorothy Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Gail; his daughter Denise; his son-in-law Scott Mateyka of Hillsborough; his son Kevin Zimmer; his daughter-in-law Jenny Benedict of Branchburg; his grandchildren, Julia, Amber, Trevor and Emily; and his great grandchildren, Makynzie and Slade. He is also survived by several other nieces & nephews.
