With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Polansky in Somerset, New Jersey, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2024 at the age of 73. As Gary departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gary leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Polansky and Helen Polansky. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Polansky (Anderson); his son Stephen; and his siblings, Don, Mark, Christine Huggins and Diane Seligman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Gary always protected his family, always asking "if we needed anything, how the car was running, and when are you coming home?"In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 1224 5th St. SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401.
