She was predeceased by: her sister Ruth McCarthy (Fitzgerald); and her husband Robert O. Day. She is survived by: her children, Donald Day (Linda Day) of Belvidere, IL. and Nancy Day (Curtis Karl) of Somerset, N. J.; her granddaughters, Jessica Hunley (Mark Hunley) of Machesney Park, IL. and Sara Mark (Jim Mark) of Woodstock, IL.; her great grandchild Trevor Mark; her niece Arlene Moshfeghi (Mohammed Moshfeghi); and her nephew Russell McCarthy.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Elaine's memory to the Hillsborough Reformed Church in Millstone where she was an active member for many years.
