He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon "Bermudez" Maldonado and Cruz "Cua" Pantoja; and his siblings, Antonio Maldonado, Ramon "Monchin" Maldonado, Ramona "Moncha" Rivera and Luz "Lucy" Rodriguez.

He is survived by: his wife Zoraida Maldonado of Franklin Park; and his children, Zoraida Maldonado (Cameron B. Henderson) of Franklin Park, Amanda and John Maldonado of Edgewater.
