He is survived by: his wife Rita Kane Stuewe of Somerset; his children, Denise Quenault (JJ) of Somerset, Michael Stuewe (Suzanne) of Avon Lake and Meghan Hayes (Billy) of Hillsborough; his siblings, Wendell Stuewe (Joan) of Minnesota, Myron Stuewe of Minnesota, Gerry Stuewe (Donna) of Minnesota, Jimmy Stuewe of Minnesota, Dale Stuewe (Karene) of Minnesota, David Stuewe (Joyce) of Minnesota, Curtie Stuewe of Minnesota, Corliss Jochum (Jim) of Minnesota, Janice Stuewe of Minnesota and Lori (John Regnier) of Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Chase, Kane Quenault, Michael, Matthew, Luke, Gabriel Stuewe, Riley, William and Jack Hayes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He courageously battled Alzheimer's for eight years with a positive, pleasant, never give up attitude.
