He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Peg); his sister Nancy Seely; and his children, Janet (Jim Collins), Nancy (Will Goins), Jim and Rich (Amy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Magnolia Ambulance Corps at 112 Warwick Rd, Magnolia, NJ 08049.
