He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Baxter Jr. and Catherine Baxter; and his siblings, Michael, Steven, Kathy, Maryellen, Regina, Ellen and Ann.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Baxter; his children, Nicole (Dan), Amber (Carl) and Michael (Shelby); his stepchildren, Lindsay and Shane; his grandchild Marlie; and his brother Walter (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
