With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William Joseph Dettmar of Skillman, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William Joseph left this world on November 19, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dettmar and Florence M. Deck Dettmar; his sons, William and Mark Dettmar; his sister Joyce Harrison; his son-in-law John B. Stites; and his wife Ruth Ann Straight Dettmar.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl D. Stites and Stacey D. Girt (Kenneth R. Girt, Jr.); his granddaughters, Kyle S. Gosselink (Peter Gosselink), Dana L. Dettmar (Samantha L. Dettmar), Ashley G. Waite (Eric Waite) and Molly Ann Girt; and his great grandchildren, Zolon M. Dettmar, Eve S. Gosselink and Wilhelmina Ann Gosselink.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Formerly the Ewing Presbyterian Church (101 Scotch Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08628). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at the Ewing Church Cemetery (100 Scotch Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08628).
