He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his son Richard J. Sherretta, Jr. (Joanne); his brother Ernest C. Sherretta, Jr. (Annmarie); and his siblings-in-law, Sara Rodgers and Michael Orlando (Pauline). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
