He is survived by: his wife Paulean Merriwether-Knight; his children, Kenya Meheret (Sirak) of Albany, NY, Martice Hussain (Asif) of Williamstown, NJ, Tiffany Merriwether of Raleigh, NC and Kline Merriwether of Williamstown, NJ; his grandchildren, Katherine Kirby of Houston, TX, Asif, Adil Hussain of Williamstown, NJ and Marcus Meheret of Albany, NY; his great grandchildren, Alizè, Corey, Kai'le and London of Houston, TX; his stepmother Alice Knight of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his sisters, Collette Hurt of Virginia and Ramona Knight of Baltimore, MD; and his stepsiblings, Annette Larkins of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Claude Larkins of Baltimore, MD.
