She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sr. Grantham and Betty Grantham; and her sister Vanessa Bass. She is survived by: her children, Walter Walker, Jr., Monique Heyward and Tanea Walker; her sister Deborah Grantham (Taylor); her siblings-in-law, Gregory, Meredith Grantham, Gary Grantham, John, Cheryl Grantham, Dewayne, Terri Grantham, James and Tabitha Grantham; and her close friend Kathleen Scott (Hicks). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
