He was predeceased by: his siblings, Grace, Eunice and Walter. He is survived by: his spouse Olethia D. Brown; his children, Dennis Brown (Myra), Denise McNair (late Curtis), Marilyn Gerald, Louise (Glenn) of Washington, Linda Robinson (late Lawrence) and Terri Jones (Paul); and his sibling Williard. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
