She was predeceased by: her husband William T. Blaess, Jr.; and her daughter Linda Mason (late Allen). She is survived by: her children, William T. Blaess III (Linda) of The Colony, TX and Barbara J. Davis of Sicklerville, NJ; her grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer, Michael and Daniel; her great grandchildren, Sam, Joey, Brandon, Emma and Jayson; and her great great grandchildren, Shane and Damon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Samaritan Hospice, P.O. Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176-1425.

“n loving memory of Dorothy M. Blaess, I grew up on E Pine St near Haviland and knew Mrs Blaess in the 60’s and 70’s for all my grade school years as well as walking down Pine St to AHS during my high school days. She was an awesome lady with the perfect mix of fun and caring along with a serious side when it came to safety. I fondly recall safety patrol days and her telling us, “hold back your kids” and when it was safe to do so, “OK let em go! “.She protected each as if we were her own!”
