She was predeceased by: her parents, Primas Sr. Gathings and Bessie Gathings; and her siblings, Shirley, Primas Jr. and Eddie.
She is survived by: her husband Stanley Yeldell; her daughter Veronica Champion of William Sumiel, III; her siblings, Helen Sanders, Marva Clark and Raheem Gathings; her grandchildren, Danielle Champion, Cierra Champion, Billie Sumiel and Nicolas Sumiel; her nieces and nephews, Dr. Tiffany Sanders, Tamara Herald (Jemal), Jason Clark and Jamar Boone; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Joi Stephens, Natalia Canarozzi, Amaya Mickens, Jemal Herald, Jamil Herald, John-Michael Canarozzi and Jayson Clark; her daughter-in-law Nichelle Miller-Sumiel; and her siblings-in-law, Cathleen Diane Young, William Yeldell (Laura), Sidney Yeldell (Theresa) and Mark Nelson (Robin). She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
