He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Greeves Chroniger and Elsie Mae Wormersely Chroniger; his wife Rose Winifred Dean; and his siblings, Anne, Dorothy, Alfred, Jr. (Margaret McBride), Charles (Helen Ladamer), Elsie Jane (Charles Weiss) and William Thomas "Tommy" (Elizabeth Bradford).

He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth D. (Peggy), Donald L. (Charlotte) and Kevin L. (Brandi). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
