He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Conklin and Mary V. Conklin. He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Conklin; his children, Colleen Conklin of Neptune City, Brian R. Conklin (Virginia) of Belmar and Kevin R. Conklin (Melissa) of Neptune; his grandchildren, Richard J. and Joseph R. Conklin; his brothers, Joseph T. Conklin of Chicago and Robert L. Conklin of Clifton; and his sisters-in-law, Anita (Joseph Jankoski) and Barbara Noble.
