He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gertrude Whitfield and Vincent Whitfield; his wife Margaret O'Connell Whitfield; his children, Maureen (Stephen Cleary), Kevin (Donna Whitfield), Peter (Mary Ellen Whitfield), Patty (Joe Arni) and Robert (Jennifer Whitfield); his grandchildren, Patrick, Courtney, Kathleen, Colleen, Sean, Jennifer, Brendan, Kevin, Brittney, Alexis, Christopher, Kayla and Kelly; his great grandchildren, Fiona, Jameson, Liam, Collin, Abigail, Brayden, Anna, James, Henry, Cameran, Danny, Clair and Madison; and his siblings, Brian of Gaylordsville, Sue Weiss of Smithtown, James, Richard and Kenny.
