She was predeceased by: her son Charles Johns, III; and her husband Charles, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Emerson (Marlene), Denise Burghoffer (John) and Robert; her grandchildren, Tracey, Jeffrey, Charles, IV, Christine, Eric, Michael and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Kevin, Andrew, Zoe, Emily, Alison, Samantha and Justin; and her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Thul.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sophie's memory may be made to the Church of The Holy Family.
