He was predeceased by: his brother Frank L'Esperance. He is survived by: his wife Janet K. L'Esperance; his sons, Leroy D. L'Esperance, III (Susan) and Kenneth L'Esperance (Kathryn); and his grandchildren, Brittany (John), Evan (Ashley), Arielle (William) and Elyse (Brett). He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
