She is survived by: her husband Richard; her sister Lorraine Bandazian (Edward); her nieces, Dena Nishek (Sam) and Pamela Johnston; her husband Chris; her great-nieces, Elli Nishek and Alexis Johnston; and her great-nephew Gavin Johnston.
Cremation will be private, and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Valerie's memory to: American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
