With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Theresa Garland of Secaucus, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Theresa leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Theresa may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Labriola (Gallo) and Nicholas Labriola; her husband James "Jimmy" Garland; her children, Roxanne Bokuniewicz (Daniel) of Wood-Ridge and Jade Garland of Secaucus; and her grandchildren, Luke and Paige.
She is survived by: her brothers, Joseph Labriola (late Janet) and Michael Labriola (Kathryn); and her brother-in-law Edward Garland (Blanche). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and one great-niece.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mack Memorial (1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ 07094). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (1219 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ 07094).
