He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Joseph Garofalo of Secaucus, Frances Garofalo of Lyndhurst and Linda Larkin (Tom) of Pequannock, NJ; and his grandchildren, Brittany and Thomas.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Sal's name to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
