She was predeceased by: her parents, Pauline Meyer and George Meyer; her husband J. Louis Schmitt, Jr.; her son Craig Lewis; her sisters, Pauline Meyer and Ruth Gerrity; and her daughter-in-law Eleanor Schmitt.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Wlosek (John), Arthur Schmitt, Richard Schmitt (Meryle) and Andrea DeLellis (Bernard); her grandchildren, Keith (Andrew), Michelle, Craig, Michael and Matthew; and her sister Alice Schaeffer.
