As Joan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlotte Gaughran and James Gaughran; and her husband Frank Leier. She is survived by: her children, Frank Leier (Susan), Charlene (Dennis Dernbach), Jo-Anne (Mark Caruselle) and Karyn (Dominick Pace).
Viewing was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mack Memorial (1245 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ 07094). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (1219 Paterson Plank Rd, Secaucus, NJ 07094).
Because of Joan's great love for all animals, especially dogs, her family has decided to donate her pacemaker to save a dog in need.
