He was predeceased by: his parents, Giovanni DeCandia and Nicoletta DeCandia; his son John DeCandia; and his siblings, Mauro DeCandia, Susetta Calo, Pasquale DeCandia and Giuseppe DeCandia.

He is survived by: his wife Maria DeCandia; his children, Sergio DeCandia (Mary), Nicoletta Minervini (Julius) of Wayne, NJ and Enza Crespo (Daniel) of East Rutherford, NJ; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Dylan, Sean DeCandia, Giovanna, Olivia Minervini, Daniel and Matthew Crespo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home (567 Ratzer Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the Our Lady of Consolation Church (1799 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ 07470).
