He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schlussel and Helen Schlussel; and his siblings, Pat Rudolph and Raymond Schlussel. He is survived by: his wife Monica; his daughters, Colleen Crowley (Patrick), Megan Meschede (Mark) and Erin Stever (Richard); his grandchildren, Liam, Ella, Reesa and Maggy; his brothers, James Schlussel (Sue) and Robert Schlussel (Pat); and his sister-in-law Margaret Schlussel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to Save our Historic Saint Joseph's Church, 8305 Landis Ave, Suite 5, Sea Isle City, New Jersey, 08243.
