We bid farewell to Sylvia T. Kempisty of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 28, 2024 at the age of 93. Sylvia touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bloom and Jean Bloom (Andris). She is survived by: her sons, David Kempisty (Lisa) of Cattaraugus, NY, Lawrence Kempisty (Sarahann) of League City, TX, James Kempisty (Debra) of Youngstown, OH and Thomas Kempisty of Scotch Plains, NJ.; her brothers, Ronald Bloom (late Alice) of Garden Grove, CA and Darryl Bloom (Gale) of Plano, TX; her sister-in-law Joan Kempisty (Rachaell Gaston) of Lancaster, NY; her grandchildren, Brian Kempisty (Dawn), Andrea Murray (Keith), Kathryn Humel (Mark), Rebecca Ruth (David), Joshua Kempisty (Mercedes Marchese) and Jessica Kempisty (Matthew Wagner); and her son Scott Kempisty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ross Funeral Home of Akron (10 Eckerson Ave, Akron, NY 14001). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Name of Mary Church (8656 Church St, East Pembroke, NY 14056). A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the St. Adalbert's Cemetery (6200 Broadway, Lancaster, NY 14086).
